Hey friends! Next comic will be up sometime after Christmas- Bali’s busy helping Santa carry some of those toys. Happy Holidays!

Good thing the hunters speak English too, or we’d never know what they were saying. “Ah na” is kind of like “no”, while just “Na?” is sort of like “Eh?” Meanwhile, mysterious language is mysterious (they’re talking about hunting, though. Nothing exciting.)
Those things they’re hunting are the Eshe, they DO have sticks for legs, but they are also full of deliciousness which is more than I can say for most of the other local beasts, which tend to be full of small stones and crystals and bits of old bone. (no…..really….)
I’ll be sure to update the vote incentive later today- it’s a bit early in the morning to do anything more now but I do have lots and lots of fun sketches to choose from. I appreciate your votes regardless, and all your support! Enjoy!

I hope they aren’t expecting Bali to carry the dead eshe as well as the spears!
Are they using that “rune speak” to talk over Bali? If so, that’s rather patronizing of them.
Sort of- it’s like a traditional language used by grown men specifically, that they learn during an initiation :d Bali knows maybe a few words he’s picked up, but that’s it since he hasn’t gone through that ritual yet.
I’m already falling in love with this comic and this world. 8D

Interesting. You may be following a similar sound for your language as I am in my own various projects. Or is this an actual language? I’d be very interested in it if it was. It would help me make an actual offshoot language for the comic I’m working on. (Making up grammar rules is annoying -___-)

love the art so far, seems to have a good background, and it looks as though the story line will be strong. so far I’ve only one complaint. no one, and I mean this…no one, walks around barefoot in the snow…at least any distance at all. that is a really easy way to get frostbite.
