Volume 1: Page 25
Go Lakasi go! The hunters finally get to do something! Other than, you know, hunt.
And a page updating on time for once! I was pretty excited about getting this one done, so not much could stop me. Having lots of energy stored up from all that turkey I ate last week probably didn’t hurt either.
I added a wee project wonderful ad to the site down under the comic. I’ve been using PW as an advertiser as well as an advertisee for about 4 years now and I think it is such an awesome program. If you are a fellow comick-er, I really do recommend it for advertising. And if you are a reader you should consider clicking on some of those lovely links and finding some hidden gems!
As always, thanks for reading, enjoy the page, and see you soon with the next one!

Oh man did the mask just break from the sound of the bells? IS THAT WHAT THEY DO? Oh man oh man.
Haha yep! They don’t always reach a pitch where they’ll make a crack but a good hunter always hits it juuust right :d
Can I just say how that is the coolest thing ever? SO COOL! Love your work so far <3
Are bears filled with tasty meat?
Bears may or may not be filled with tasty meat.
Oh it is a bear! Ha… Thought it was a relative of the halfway beast somehow, since it was guarding the Sword. Shoulda known, all the animals have masks. …Or maybe they’re all partway beasts?
Yeah, it’s just a bear! Or well, “just” being the relative term here. All the animals you’ll see are some manner of beastling, yes, the ones that live on the edge of the wood are not neeeaarlly as bad as those deeper in!
They really should have taught Bali — if he could hunt like they could. . . .
Yep they’re pretty intense! You’d think they’d at least share with him some bear avoidance skills or something *shrug*.
Oh my word! This comic is gorgeous and the protagonist is adorable. How often does this comic update?
I try for weekly, on Fridays!
So - why did the hunter reverse his grip on the angle-knife in mid-leap? The way he’s holding it in the last panel seems very awkward - a blade of that shape is really not meant for stabbing!
Yeah, it’s not a stabby knife at all, more of a slicey hacky knife, so he actually switched it around to get a better grip before taking a big swipe with the corner of the angle-y bit. I agree it’s a little weird looking, it didn’t come out looking quite the way I had intended, but when I go back to do edits on the volume it’ll be on my list.
