So I finally found out why you stopped.
Look. Cultural appropriation is a myth itself. All cultures take a bit from each other. If they don’t they stagnate. In the U.S. this was especially why it is a great country-everyone learned from each other and society gained. It wasn’t until the oppressors started with laying guilt restrictions that ‘problems’ started. I have personal proof of that.
Unless you claim the different design elements (parts) are owned by you alone rather than a unique mosaic design creation (and that is yours and kudos for that) No one owns ideas (well, beyond copyrights and patents, etc.) Don’t let the oppressors get you down. They love to create power plays telling people how they must behave. It’s a control technique.
In the meantime I’ll enjoy the two books I purchased for they are truly lovely works of art. I bet a lot of native culture readers felt the same.
God bless.

Genocide and slavery does not make any country great, don’t take God’s name in vain.
