Mali Mani Not too long before our present story, Mali Mani was a powerful hero with a strong connection to the Liminal Wood. After slaying the menacing Halfway Beast and disappearing into the Wood, Mali Mani has become a godlike figure to Bali’s people, who invoke his memory through the retellings of his many adventures.
